Description: PxNotepad serves as a more robust version of Notepad present on any modern Windows distribution. It offers more advanced find/replace functions as well as sorting options.
Requires: .NET Framework v2.0 (Download for x86 or x64)
Updated to v1.2. Here's what's new:
  • Uses a better method of remembering window location, state, and size to fix an ever-growing window problem (plus no more registry settings)
  • The "Find" dialog will now behave much better - you can now use F3 to get the next result after you've closed the dialog!
  • Now accepts a file to open as a command line argument so it can be associated with any file extension and load properly
  • Added correct newline parsing for UNIX/Windows/etc
  • Added a "Revert" option on the file menu to remove any changes since last save
  • Added a Line # display to the status bar

  • Quickly and easily replace any text in a document, large or small, with the powerful regular expression engine or basic static replacement
  • Sort numerical or alphabetical data instantly from A to Z or vice versa
  • Append or prepend data to every line or only selected lines in a document for rapidly adding/modifying data to your liking
  • Perform all of the aforementioned tasks on the currently open file or an entirely different input or output file
  • Converts newlines to Windows CRLF format when a file is opened
